Copper tube end forming process reshapes the end of a copper tube into a specific shape or configuration. Forming process would create a tight seal between the tube and other components, such as fittings or valves. These parts are normally used in plumbing, HVAC, and other industries.

Copper tube end forming includes several different techniques as below.

  1. Swaging, involves using a machine to compress the end of the tube, reducing its diameter and increasing its length. This process would create a flare or cone shape, or to reduce the diameter to fit inside a fitting or valve.
  2. Flaring, involves expanding the end of the tube outward, creating a wider diameter. This process would create a connection with a fitting or valve that has a wider opening than the tube.
  3. Beading, involves forming a bead or bulge on the end of the tube. Then the bead or bulge provide a stop for other components or to create a more secure connection.
  4. Bulging, involves using a hydraulic press to expand the end of the tube. It would create a dome shape that can be used to cover the end of a fitting or valve.
  5. Flanging involves shaping a flat flange at the tube’s end for creating connections with other components or providing a mounting surface

Overall, the specific tube end forming process used for a given application will depend on the desired shape and function of the end of the tube, as well as the requirements of the surrounding components.
